Role & responsibilities

To support, manage and direct production in the given section by ensuring optimum utilization of resources to increase cost

savings, quality, yields, output and efficiency of production

Preferred candidate profile

Functional deliveries:

A. Production :

1. Customer Requirements are to be met

2. Authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems

3. To execute weekly & daily production plan

4. Ensure Raw Material availability in one day advance

5. Ensure effective daily machine scheduling

6. To monitor production on hourly basis.

7. Resetting tools & machines to solve quality issues

8. Facilitate the implementation of the kaizens

9. To verify the housekeeping checklist on day to day basis, implement & Train the departmental employees for 5 " S"

10. Co-ordinate the activity for common department goal.

11. Train departmental employees for multi-skilling & maintaining highest flexibility within the department

12. Impart on--the-- job trainings & develop Internal faculty to implement on-- the- job training.

Preparation of flexibility Skill Analysis.

B. Quality :

1. To confirm first off inspection

2. Execute process & quality control plan

3. To check that calibrated equipments are available

4. Execute autonomous maintenance activities in dept like time reduction for cleaning, inspection, retightening,

lubrication.

5. To reduce break down & defect . To prevent oil leakages

6. To attend minor machine problems

7. In case of major breakdown rescheduling practices & plan departmental activities accordingly.

8. To monitor Break downs

9. Analyse shift performance covering productivity, machine down time, product rejection data etc.

10. Execute Quality System Procedures of the department. • Initiate productivity & process improvements.

C. Cost :

Reduce cost of Consumables, tools.& Initiate cost control

Plan to improve overall equipment , line efficiency

Reduce WIP
