Job Summary

Responsible for end-to-end procurement of CAPEX, OPEX, project materials, machinery, equipment, engineering spares, maintenance items, laboratory equipment, consumables and industrial services for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle CAPEX and OPEX procurement for plant and project requirements.
- Purchase machinery, production equipment, utilities, spares, consumables and laboratory equipment.
- Understand technical requirements and coordinate with Projects, Production, Maintenance, Lab and Stores.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations and prepare technical-commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery, warranty, installation and service terms.
- Develop new vendors and alternate sources for critical materials and equipment.
- Manage project procurement from requirement stage to delivery and installation support.




- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production and project schedules.
- Handle service procurement including fabrication, maintenance, installation, AMC and contractors.
- Track CAPEX budgets, purchase costs, savings and cost escalation.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders in SAP.
- Monitor pending PRs/POs, vendor deliveries and procurement MIS.
- Evaluate vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery and service.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, localization and value engineering.
