Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities for civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining purchase records, and coordinating with project and site teams to meet material requirements within approved budgets.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review material requirements from project/site teams.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Source construction materials, equipment, tools, and consumables from reliable suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials at project sites.
- Follow up on pending orders,



deliveries, and back orders.
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and service.
- Maintain an updated database of approved suppliers and vendor contacts.
- Coordinate with stores, site engineers, quantity surveyors, accounts, and project management teams.
- Verify purchase invoices, delivery challans, material receipts, and supporting documents.
- Ensure procurement is carried out according to company policies and approved budgets.
- Monitor material prices and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Handle urgent procurement requirements without affecting project schedules.
- Maintain proper documentation of quotations, comparative statements, POs, invoices, and vendor records.
- Assist in resolving quality, quantity, delivery, and payment-related issues with suppliers.
