About The Role
Build a
production-grade exchange from scratch within 6 months
and lead the migration of an
existing $1B+ daily volume
futures business without compromising latency, reliability, or correctness. Take direct ownership of mission-critical systems operating at massive scale, with high autonomy, high impact, and minimal bureaucracy.



Drive and define core architectural decisions from day one while shaping the foundation of the platform for long-term scalability and performance.

What You’ll Do:
- End-to-end architecture ownership of core exchange systems
- Design and build matching engine, order lifecycle (pre-trade, trade, post-trade), risk & liquidation, and market data pipelines
- Build for ultra-low latency, high throughput, and deterministic execution at scale
- Lead and mentor a :25-member engineering team
- Drive architecture reviews, system design decisions, and engineering best practices
- Define latency budgets, throughput benchmarks, and performance SLAs
- Design failure handling, fault tolerance, and recovery strategies
- Build cloud-native, horizontally scalable systems with strict determinism requirements
- Ensure production readiness through observability, rollbacks, and incident prevention mechanisms
- Own reliability, correctness, and performance of mission-critical trading systems
