Job Summary

As a Senior Account Manager at Burson in our Healthcare and Pharma, you will lead day-to-day client relationships, develop and execute integrated communication strategies, mentor junior team members, and contribute to business growth. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality client service, managing account profitability, supporting new business initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What youll do:
- Lead day-to-day client relationships and develop strategic integrated communications programs aligned with client business objectives.
- Oversee the execution of communication campaigns, ensuring quality delivery within timelines and budgets.
- Create and review communication materials including press releases, QAs, key messages, media pitches, and holding statements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders while supporting digital communication strategies.
- Support business development by identifying growth opportunities, contributing to pitches,



and preparing current business proposals.
- Coach, mentor, and provide continuous feedback to junior team members while fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, documentation, invoicing, and ensure compliance with agency financial processes.
- Ensure adherence to Burson processes, SOPs, SharePoint documentation, client reviews, contracts, and effective use of Generative AI tools in communications.
Experience that contributes to success:
- 6-8 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Integrated Communications
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts and serving as the primary client contact, especially healthcare and pharma clients.
- Strong expertise in media relations, content development, strategic communications, and campaign execution.
