Role & responsibilities The Manager Safety will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving all safety, health, and environmental practices at the highway project site. The role will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, project-specific HSE standards, client requirements, and company safety policies while promoting a solid safety culture across the project.

Preferred candidate profile
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Project HSE Plan as per company, client, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct site safety inspections, HSE audits, risk assessments, JSA, Method Statements, and PTW for critical activities.
- Ensure safety compliance across earthwork, excavation, pavement, structures, bridges, culverts, asphalt/concrete works, lifting, electrical and hot-work activities.
- Implement Traffic Management & Road Safety Plans, including barricading, signage, diversions, lighting, and safe movement of vehicles/workers.
- Conduct safety induction,



toolbox talks, training, awareness programs, and HSE meetings for employees, workers, drivers, and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identify root causes, and ensure corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with BOCW, labour, fire, electrical, environmental, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Monitor PPE compliance, plant & machinery safety, lifting equipment, vehicles, scaffolding, housekeeping, welfare facilities, and emergency preparedness.
- Prepare and maintain HSE MIS, safety statistics, inspection/incident reports, and client/statutory compliance records.
- Lead the site safety team, monitor subcontractor HSE performance, and drive continuous improvement in overall project safety standards.
