Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Backup Administrator to manage and support enterprise backup, recovery, archival, and data protection environments. The role requires hands-on experience with Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM), Avamar, Data Domain, IBM Spectrum Protect, Veeam, and InfoArchive.

Preferred candidate profile
- Administer and monitor enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure across production and non-production environments.
- Manage backup policies, schedules, retention, replication, and storage utilization.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup and restore jobs.
- Perform file, VM, database, and application-level backup and recovery activities.
- Manage and support Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) environments.
- Administer Dell EMC Avamar backup infrastructure and troubleshoot backup failures.
- Manage Dell Data Domain including capacity, replication, performance, and backup integration.
- Administer IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) environments, including backup policies, storage pools, schedules, and client management.




- Manage Veeam Backup & Replication environments for VMware and physical workloads.
- Support InfoArchive environments for enterprise data archiving and retention.
- Perform backup restoration and recovery testing as per business requirements.
- Configure and monitor backup replication and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities.
- Monitor backup capacity, performance, and system health.
- Troubleshoot backup failures, connectivity issues, performance problems, and storage-related incidents.
- Perform backup infrastructure upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
- Manage backup agents, clients, repositories, media servers, and backup storage.
- Support VMware and physical server backup environments.
- Support cloud and hybrid backup solutions where applicable.
- Maintain backup documentation, procedures, reports, and operational dashboards.
- Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Manage
