Job Category Hardware Engineering Mgmt In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be Design and develop hardware for control systems including the general arrangement drawings wiring schematics single line diagrams Understand the customer specifications and select appropriate components relays power supplies I O modules processors barriers etc to fulfil their technical needs Prepare Bill of Materials BOM cross wiring databases loop typical drawings using E-CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical Perform Power Heat load Calculations to ascertain the power and cooling requirements of a cabinet Ensure designs meet performance safety and regulatory requirements IEC UL CE etc Submit the deliverables for customer review and approval and implement the corrections based on their review Maintain the revision control of all the applicable hardware deliverables for final as built preparation and also for the compliance and quality audits Optimize the design with any possibility to consume the readily available stock from the stores Discuss the issues with the counterparts in the other world areas and to provide dynamic solutions the problems that may hamper the schedule cost or quality of the project Prepare an assembly plan and align it with the overall project schedule Release the drawings to the shop floor based on the assembly plan and take the production team into confidence for sharing important project information and timelines Coordinate with the buyers to ensure that the material required for the projects is ordered on time Resolve the discrepancies observed during the cabinet build between design documents and build conditions Monitor integration progress and maintain timelines ensuring build quality and compliance with the required standards Conduct periodic progress calls with the stakeholders to review the project status and to resolve the queries Assess the risks and raise them timely to the concerned Support FAT Factory Acceptance Testing and ensure systems are tested per project specifications and functional requirements Work closely with QA QC teams to address integration-related non-conformities or deviations Liaise with the project managers customers to obtain the dispatch clearances for releasing the cabinets for shipment after FAT Who You Are You promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals You quickly and significantly take action in constantly evolving unexpected situations You actively seek guidance from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions You handle the risk that comes with moving forward when the outcome is not certain For This Role You Will Need 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of process control and automation DCS SIS HW Design experience in Engineering Industry is desired Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering 3-6 years of experience in control panel integration PLC cabinet assembly or industrial automation projects Strong knowledge of control panel components power circuits protection devices PLCs and industrial communication protocols MODBUS PROFINET CAN etc Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and panel GA layout drawings Working knowledge of tools and techniques for industrial wiring and panel integration Hands-on experience with EDA E-CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Hands-on experience in electrical testing troubleshooting and validation of control systems Our Offer to You By joining Emerson you will be given the opportunity to make a difference through the work you do Emerson s compensation and advantages programs are designed to be competitive within the industry and local labor markets We also offer a comprehensive medical and insurance coverage to meet the needs of our employees We are committed to creating a global workplace that supports diversity equity and embraces inclusion We welcome foreign nationals to join us through our Work Authorization Sponsorship We attract develop and retain exceptional people in an inclusive environment where all employees can reach their greatest potential We are dedicated to the ongoing development of our employees because we know that it is critical to our success as a global company We have established our Remote Work Policy for eligible roles to promote Work-Life Balance through a hybrid work set up where our team members can take advantage of working both from home and at the office Safety is paramount to us and we are relentless in our pursuit to provide a Safe Working Environment across our global network and facilities Through our benefits development opportunities and an inclusive and safe work environment we aim to create an organization our people are proud to represent
