Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering architecture and environmental consulting The diverse perspectives of our partners and interested parties drive us to think beyond what s previously been done on critical issues like climate change digital transformation and future-proofing our cities and infrastructure We innovate at the intersection of community creativity and client relationships to advance communities everywhere so that together we can redefine what s possible The Stantec community unites approximately 32 000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents Primary Purpose of Job Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical support in water and wastewater treatment disposal of treated sewage and solid handling unit sizing and hydraulic calculations of various treatment units of WTP and WWTP preparing detailed layout plans and sections of various units utility routing and connections performance assessment of existing facilities etc preferably for UK frameworks Support project technical leads team leader by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget schedule technical and quality standards meet both the client and STANTEC expectations Key Accountabilities Engineering and design of WTP and WWTP Hydraulic design of treatment units and associated piping channels Outline design Optioneering Detailed design Prepare technical reports Coordinate advise designers to prepare detailed drawings Liaison with vendors Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination Occasionally Need to travel offshore for training on-site work Occasionally Key responsibilities Technically deliver the design of treatment plants hydraulic and utility design independently Work in collaboration with Discipline Lead Project Lead and other discipline leads and engineers designers Ensure the use of consistent design standards and best practices on projects in line with the technical direction of the discipline Developing excellence by ensuring project efficiencies are achieved Ensure that the quality programs appropriate design procedures and systems are followed Person specification Professionally qualified Engineer MEng or BEng or equivalent in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering with recent experience in water and wastewater treatment and disposal 8 years of relevant experience At least 8 years of experience working on civil engineering design aspects for WTP and WWTP and knowledge of various treatment methodologies e g ASP SBR MBR MBBR etc Experience of working on UK frameworks Understanding of P ID PFD for WTP and WWTP Knowledge of CAD Excellent data presentation abilities MS Office Ability to work in cooperative multi-discipline engineering environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills Primary Location India Pune Organization Stantec IN Business Unit Employee Status Regular Travel No Schedule Full time Job Posting 30 07 2025 02 07 11 Req ID 1000610
