We're looking for a skilled React Native Developer to build and maintain the YAKA Care mobile application (iOS & Android), integrating seamlessly with our Python-based backend APIs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using
React Native
- Integrate mobile app with
Python (REST/FastAPI/Django) APIs
- Collaborate with backend developers to define API contracts and data flow
- Implement responsive UI/UX based on design mockups (Figma/XD)
- Manage app state using Redux/Context API/Zustand
- Handle push notifications, deep linking, and third-party SDK integrations
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and load times
- Debug and fix issues across iOS and Android platforms
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Publish and manage releases on App Store & Google Play
- Work with Git for version control and participate in code reviews

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with
React Native
(functional components, hooks)
- Proficiency in
JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience consuming




REST APIs built in Python
(Django/Flask/FastAPI)
- Familiarity with native modules (iOS/Android) when needed
- Experience with Firebase (push notifications, analytics, crashlytics)
- Understanding of mobile app architecture, state management, and navigation (React Navigation)
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds
- Experience with App Store/Play Store deployment process

Valuable to Have
- Experience in healthcare/care-based apps (compliance, data privacy awareness — HIPAA/GDPR familiarity)
- Basic understanding of Python backend logic to debug integration issues
- Experience with SQLite/local storage, offline-first app design
- UI/UX sensibility, animations (Reanimated/Lottie)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Portfolio of published apps (Play Store/App Store links preferred)
