Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Branch Credit Manager to manage credit appraisal and underwriting activities at the branch level for secured lending products Home Loans (HL), Loan Against Property (LAP) and Micro Loans (ML).

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and approve credit proposals as per company credit policy and guidelines.
- Conduct detailed credit appraisal, underwriting and risk assessment of loan applications.
- Analyse customer income, banking, financial statements, business profile, repayment capacity and credit history.
- Handle HL, LAP and ML credit proposals and ensure quality portfolio growth.
- Review CIBIL/credit bureau reports, banking transactions and other credit documents.
- Conduct field/customer/business verification wherever required.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, RCU and Collections teams for smooth loan processing.




- Ensure proper adherence to credit policy, KYC, documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential credit risks and take appropriate decisions within delegated authority.
- Monitor portfolio quality and ensure adherence to TAT and credit norms.
- Support the branch in maintaining a healthy loan portfolio with minimum credit risk.

Preferred candidate profile
- 2 to 5 years of relevant credit underwriting/appraisal experience in an NBFC / Housing Finance / Financial Services company.
- Candidates with strong experience in HL / LAP / ML will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of credit appraisal, underwriting, banking analysis and CIBIL assessment.
- Should have strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
