Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with expertise in surface finishing processes specifically Powder Coating Electroplating and Hot Dip Galvanizing HDG The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that surface treatment processes meet required quality standards specifications and customer requirements This includes conducting inspections managing quality documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives Key Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections of components undergoing powder coating plating and hot dip galvanizing Develop and maintain inspection procedures quality plans and test methods for surface finishing operations Monitor coating thickness adhesion curing and surface finish quality using appropriate testing equipment e g DFT meters gloss meters adhesion testers Ensure compliance with customer specifications industry standards e g ASTM ISO IS and internal quality criteria Conduct salt spray tests cross-hatch adhesion tests and visual inspections as per specification Analyze surface defects e g blisters flaking uneven coating and coordinate with production teams to initiate corrective actions Ensure that pre-treatment processes e g degreasing phosphate coating pickling are carried out effectively Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment used for coating quality verification Create and manage quality reports non-conformance reports NCRs and Corrective and Preventive Actions CAPA Support internal audits customer inspections and third-party quality audits Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis RCA efforts related to surface finish quality Requirements Education Bachelor s Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering or related discipline Experience 3-6 years of hands-on quality assurance experience in surface finishing processes such as powder coating plating zinc nickel chrome etc and hot dip galvanizing Skills Familiarity with coating standards such as ASTM D3359 ASTM B117 ISO 9227 ISO 2063 Proficient in using coating thickness gauges DFT adhesion testers gloss meters hardness testers Understanding of pre-treatment chemicals curing cycles and surface preparation techniques Good knowledge of quality management systems e g ISO 9001 ISO 14001 Strong analytical documentation and problem-solving skills Proficient in MS Office and basic familiarity with ERP systems for quality data entry Preferred Qualifications Certification in Coating Inspection e g NACE SSPC BGAS-CSWIP FROSIO Experience in automotive construction or heavy industrial sectors using surface finishing processes Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement tools Working Conditions Work involves time on the shop floor and coating plating areas May require PPE use in chemical treatment and galvanizing areas Involves coordination with multiple departments including production design and customer service Regard s Shivani Mishra (phone hidden) Job Type Full time Pay Up to 50 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
