Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces, and garnishes according to kitchen requirements.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of food items.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Ensure mise en place is completed before service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies when required.
- Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and other senior kitchen staff.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional behavior within the kitchen.
- Report any equipment issues, food quality concerns, or shortages to the supervisor.

Required Skills

Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Commis or kitchen trainee is an advantage.
- Freshers with relevant culinary training may also apply.
