Job Summary
Responsible for providing safe, compassionate and quality nursing care to patients while maintaining hospital protocols, infection-control practices and NABH standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients as per physician's instructions and hospital protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and patient condition.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids and other treatments accurately.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures and emergencies.
- Maintain proper nursing documentation, case sheets and nursing notes.
- Ensure proper handover/takeover during shift changes.
- Follow medication safety and patient identification protocols.
- Maintain infection prevention and control practices.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of nursing equipment.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment,
medication and care.
- Report any change in patient's condition immediately to the concerned doctor.
- Follow hospital policies, emergency protocols and NABH standards.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
- Participate in audits, training programs and quality-improvement activities.
Qualifications
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Relevant hospital experience preferred.
- Freshers may be considered for suitable positions.
