The MDM Senior Business Analyst role is to support the ongoing operations and optimization of our MDM platform In this role the Business Analyst will work closely with business users data stewards and technical teams to define analyse and improve data management and data quality practices ensuring the accuracy integrity and usability of enterprise data This role also acts as first line escalation point for data issues helping to triage and resolve problems before they reach technical or stewardship teams Act as the liaison between business units IT and data quality teams or similar to understand data requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications Lead analysis of current state data processes and systems related to MDM and data quality identifying gap and opportunities for improvement Design and maintain MDM data models entity relationships and hierarchies aligned with business and technical requirements Develop document and maintain data architecture artifacts such as conceptual logical and physical data models Define business rules data validation criteria and quality metrics to enhance data accuracy and consistency Collaborate with relevant teams on MDM system design implementation and maintenance Facilitate interviews and review sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions Develop user stories use cases and acceptance criteria aligned with MDM and data quality objectives Develop and maintain documentation related to MDM tool usage data quality processes and governance policies Monitor and report on data quality issues and trends instigating remediation actions Participate in testing phases to ensure solutions meet business needs and data quality standards Drive change management and training related to data quality initiatives and MDM tools Work with IT and data teams to coordinate data integration and synchronization activities Stay updated on industry best practices tools and trends in MDM and data quality Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Information Systems Data Management or related field 5 years of experience as an operations analyst preferably with a focus on data management or MDM projects Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts data modelling and data governance frameworks Experience with data quality methodologies and tools such as data profiling cleansing and validation Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements user stories and functional specifications Knowledge of databases ETL processes and data integration techniques Familiarity with MDM platforms is a plus Solid analytical problem solving and communication skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders Preferred Skills Certification in Business Analysis of Data Management Experience with data governance tools and frameworks Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data quality Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools Prior experience in a senior or lead role within data management initiatives
