Workday is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join the Finance org. There you will be focused on supporting the day-to-day activities for the variable compensation and Revenue Operations Teams. Role & responsibilities
- Support day-to-day commissions administration process including global monthly commission payout, monthly accrual and adjustments, and service now case management.
- Provide timely resolution for commission-related inquiries from comp plan participants including but not limited to system access issues, transaction disputes, credits and payment calculations.
- Supports the monthly close activities such as financial statement accruals, payroll, and internal controls documentation.
- Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.
- Perform research related to revenue and compensation related data validations.
- QA tester for development work performed within our variable compensation system. This can include, but is not limited to, test execution, maintaining of change management documentation, communication, and production validations.
- Develops written process documents needed to effectively manage all compensation related processes and ensure fair practices as business needs and circumstances evolve.
- Support team as needed in providing ad hoc project deliverables.
- Handling the timely and accurate integration of Sales Orders from Salesforce to Workday ensuring compliance with SLAs
- Partnering with cross-functional teams (Sales Operations, Revenue Recognition, Legal, etc.)
to resolve Sales Order-related issues
- Finding opportunities and lead initiatives that drive departmental and cross-functional efficiencies, particularly in system improvements and scaling of processes
- Contributing to Monthly/Quarterly Revenue Operations Close (Journal Entries, Reconciliations etc.)
- Assisting with Quarterly preparation of supplemental reporting for Senior Management
- Supporting ad hoc reporting or data management requests
Preferred candidate profile
Basic Qualifications:
- 7 years+ of experience in variable compensation administration. Experience with Financial Operations /Revenue Operations environment.
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve and manipulate large and complex data sets from internal systems.
- 3+ years experience using Salesforce.
- Experience performing all elements within the SDLC life cycle.
- 3+ years experience partnering with audit (Internal and external) and supporting SOX related controls.
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related field preferred.
- Experience with general ledger reconciliations, accounting research, and/or journal entries will be an added advantage
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Previous experience with ICM tools Xactly or Varicent.
- Software and/or internet industry experience is a plus.
- Experience using Service Now preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (proficient in building models and tools).
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and high degree of flexibility to adapt to the rapid organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.
- Strong communication and customer satisfaction skills, ability to drive initiatives and projects with management.
