YOUR IMPACT The Cloud Application Engineer will be responsible for providing support and review for all activities related to hosted Applications on Cloud This individual must understand thoroughly of current design with hands-on technical experience The role will also help support development of innovative solutions in cloud and infrastructure technologies WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Collaborate with teams from Product Development Professional Services and Customer Support teams to Deploy Services Applications Be an expert on Datacenter migration of Applications Services and Disaster Recovery Planning execution Work on Post Implementation Review process for bugs fixes and issues encountered in active production instances Actively support production incidents problems and on root cause analysis Provide feedback with Engineering and Professional Services teams to make services secure and resilient Develop and enhance Automated operations actions for Deployments Support and Maintenance activities Deploy on Containerized Services into PaaS Infrastructure Knowledge on integration points of hosted Applications and related implementation expert for CloudOps Work with 3rd party vendors and their support organizations for any impact to OT hosted solutions Ability to prioritize work to ensure timely project deliveries Available to work on weekends to scheduled maintenance activities and Deployments On rotation monthly 24x7 oncall support WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor s degree in Computer Sciences or related 3 to 5 years of Application Administration and Middleware Administration experience Knowledge Skills Abilities Primary Skills Experienced in Container based Application Deployments and DevOps tools Experienced in CD J2EE experienced with good skills in Automation Ansible Chef Puppet etc Knowledge in Python and or Shell Scripting is a plus Familiarity with Tomcat WebLogic WebMethods integration platform and technologies such as JMS Broker ActiveMQ and Apache webservers Working experience on RedHat and Windows Operations Systems based Physical VM Machines Desirable Skills Familiarity with in Dockers and Kubernetes based deployments Review product design documents to ensure compliance with architecture standards Experience in writing scripts bash ksh perl Powershell Expect AWK Python is a plus Expertise in analyzing Application containers performance reviewing JVM Settings thread dumps Developing and maintaining detailed documentation of work Familiarity with LoadBalancers F5 Firewalls SMTP DNS Services Networking protocols Advantage Excellent communication and people skills Strong analytical and problem-solving techniques Experience on monitoring tools such as HP OM New Relic Zabbix etc Understanding of ITIL processes OpenText s efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws Our Employment Equity and Diversity Policy provides direction on maintaining a working environment that is inclusive of everyone regardless of culture national origin race color gender gender identification sexual orientation family status age veteran status disability religion or other basis protected by applicable laws If you need assistance and or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process please submit a ticket atAsk HR Our proactive approach fosters collaboration innovation and personal growth enriching OpenText s vibrant workplace
