Freelancing Opportunity Job Title SAP BO Power BI Developer Report Migration Specialist Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SAP BusinessObjects BO and Power BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team The primary focus of this role will be to lead the migration of our existing enterprise reports and dashboards from the SAP BO platform to Microsoft Power BI The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in both platforms a strong understanding of data modeling and a proven track record of successfully executing BI migration projects Key Responsibilities Analyze Map Conduct a thorough analysis of existing SAP BO reports Web Intelligence Crystal Reports and underlying Universes UNV UNX to understand business logic data sources and complex calculations Data Modeling Design develop and optimize robust data models in Power BI using Power Query and DAX to support the migrated reports Connect to various data sources including SAP HANA SQL Server and others Report Development Recreate and enhance existing SAP BO reports and dashboards in Power BI ensuring a high degree of accuracy and improved user experience Develop recent interactive visualizations and analytical solutions Migration Validation Manage the end-to-end migration process including data validation performance tuning and user acceptance testing UAT to ensure consistency and accuracy between the old and new platforms Collaboration Work closely with business analysts data engineers and key stakeholders to gather requirements provide status updates and ensure the new Power BI solutions meet business needs Documentation Training Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models reports and migration processes Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate a smooth transition to Power BI Required Skills Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field Experience 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence and data visualization SAP BO Expertise Proven proficiency with the SAP BusinessObjects suite particularly Web Intelligence Webi and Universe Design Tool UDT Information Design Tool IDT Experience with Crystal Reports is a plus Power BI Expertise Strong demonstrated experience in developing solutions with Power BI Desktop including advanced DAX calculations Power Query M Language transformations and data modeling best practices Database Skills Solid proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries Experience with relational databases like SAP HANA SQL Server or Oracle is essential Analytical Mindset Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Direct hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle SAP BO to Power BI migration project Microsoft Power BI certification e g PL-300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Factory Familiarity with Agile Scrum project management methodologies Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau or Qlik Job Types Part-time Freelance Contract length 12 months Pay 30 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Benefits Work from home Schedule Night shift US shift Experience total work 6 years Required Shift availability Night Shift Required Overnight Shift Required Work Location Remote Application Deadline 05 08 2025
