- Customer service
- Baristas greet customers, understand their preferences, and create a fun experience. They may also remember customers' drinks and create playlists.
- Taking orders and payment
- Baristas process orders from the counter, drive-through, and online. They may also operate cash registers and record sales.
- Cleaning and stocking
- Baristas clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas. They may also restock supplies and deep clean machines.
- Maintaining knowledge
- Baristas develop an expert knowledge of coffee and educate customers about it. They may also sell coffee and coffee-related equipment and supplies.
- Following guidelines
- Baristas follow health and safety guidelines and adhere to cash handling policies.
