Job Summary The Consultant in Medical Gastroenterology will provide expert diagnosis management and treatment of patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal GI disorders The post holder will deliver high-quality specialist care contribute to service development participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support junior staff training and education Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Provide outpatient and inpatient care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures e g gastroscopy colonoscopy sigmoidoscopy ERCP if applicable Manage patients with chronic GI conditions such as IBD coeliac disease liver cirrhosis GI bleeding and functional bowel disorders Participate in the on-call rota for gastroenterology and or general internal medicine as required Provide expert consultations to other departments within the hospital Administrative Duties Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policy Participate in departmental audits clinical governance and service improvement initiatives Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Teaching and Research Provide teaching and supervision to junior doctors medical students and allied health professionals Engage in clinical research activities and contribute to publications or presentations if desired Support evidence-based practice and continuous career development Required Qualifications and Experience MBBS or equivalent medical degree MRCP UK or equivalent postgraduate qualification Certificate of Completion of Training CCT in Gastroenterology or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview Full registration with the General Medical Council GMC with a license to practice or local equivalent if outside UK Fellowship of a relevant professional body e g Royal College of Physicians is desirable Significant experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy Experience managing a broad spectrum of GI and liver diseases Qualification - MBBS MS MD DNB Eligibility - As per NMC Norms Speak with employer (phone hidden) (phone hidden) Mail Id esidiwagar gmail com elevatedsynergyindia gmail com Job Type Full-time Pay 150 000 00 - 500 000 00 per month Work Location In person
