Job Title Production Planning and Procurement Manager Department Manufacturing Department Location Annasalai Reports to Plant Head Director Job Summary The Production Planning and Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth production operations by efficiently planning material requirements managing inventory and handling procurement processes This role involves coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to align supply with demand and maintain cost-effective and timely delivery of goods Key Responsibilities Production Planning Develop and execute production schedules based on sales forecasts and customer demand Ensure optimal utilization of manufacturing resources manpower machinery materials Monitor daily production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate delays or priority shifts Coordinate with quality control maintenance and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations Procurement Identify and source raw materials packaging and consumables based on production needs Build relationships with reliable suppliers and negotiate prices contracts and delivery timelines Issue purchase orders track order status and ensure timely delivery of materials Evaluate supplier performance regularly quality cost delivery responsiveness Inventory Management Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock Implement FIFO and inventory control methods Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies Collaborate with the finance team for stock valuation and budgeting Coordination and Communication Liaise with the sales production and warehouse teams to align procurement with actual demand Generate and analyze reports on material planning procurement and production status Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain and production planning Key Requirements Education Bachelor s degree in Engineering Supply Chain or related field MBA PGDM in Operations or Materials Management is a plus Experience 5-10 years of relevant experience in production planning and procurement in a manufacturing or FMCG environment Skills Robust knowledge of MRP ERP systems e g SAP Tally Prime Zoho Inventory Good negotiation and vendor management skills Proficient in Excel and data analysis Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in ISO GMP-compliant environments Knowledge of lean manufacturing and just-in-time JIT principles Prior experience in water bottling beverage food or similar production industry if applicable Job Type Full-time Pay 40 000 02 - 60 457 84 per month Benefits Provident Fund Work Location In person
