Accountant – Edsmart Edu Services Pvt. Ltd.

Job Summary
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for Edsmart Edu Services.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up on receivables.
- Perform bank, customer and vendor reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly income and expense statements.
- Maintain receivables and payables ageing reports.
- Support GST, TDS and other statutory compliance activities.
- Coordinate with the CA/auditor for tax filings and audits.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and related accounting entries.
- Maintain proper documentation of invoices, bills, receipts and financial records.
- Support inventory and purchase-related accounting for books and educational products.
- Prepare regular financial reports for management.
- Identify discrepancies,



unusual expenses and pending collections and bring them to management's attention.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Valuable understanding of GST and TDS.
- Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Preferred Candidate
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience handling accounts independently in an SME or growing organisation is preferred.
- Candidates who are proactive, organised and comfortable working with numbers will be preferred.
