Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Electrical Automation Engineer with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in the water and wastewater industry The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in electrical systems automation technologies and instrumentation with the ability to independently install troubleshoot and commission VFDs PLCs and related systems Key Responsibilities Electrical Systems Installation maintenance and troubleshooting of motors switchgears relays sensors and star-delta starters Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical components in water and wastewater treatment plants VFDs Variable Frequency Drives Independent commissioning and troubleshooting of VFDs Siemens Danfoss etc ranging from 30HP to 600HP Integration of VFDs with PLCs and SCADA systems PLCs Automation Programming and optimization of PID loops using Siemens S7-200 and S7-1200 PLCs Development and deployment of automation solutions for process control Instrumentation Installation and calibration of sensors transmitters including pressure flow encoders and other field instruments Ensure accurate data acquisition and control through proper sensor integration System Integration Integration of VFDs PLCs HMIs and SCADA systems for seamless operation Design and implement communication protocols such as Modbus Profibus and Profinet Documentation Reporting Prepare technical documentation wiring diagrams and commissioning reports Maintain records of installations configurations and troubleshooting activities Required Skills Competencies Strong understanding of basic electrical engineering principles Hands-on experience with Siemens and Danfoss VFDs Proficiency in Siemens PLCs S7-200 S7-1200 and PID loop optimization Familiarity with industrial sensors and transmitters Experience with HMI SCADA integration and configuration Knowledge of industrial communication protocols Modbus Profibus Profinet Ability to work independently and manage field installations and commissioning Positive analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and documentation abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in water and wastewater treatment applications Exposure to industrial automation projects Certification in PLC programming or industrial automation optional but preferred Job Types Part-time Freelance Contract length 12 months Pay 200 000 00 - 300 000 00 per year Expected hours 24 per week Schedule Day shift Supplemental Pay Performance bonus Expected Start Date 18 08 2025
