- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Experience with network access control solutions and 802.1x.
- Experience with Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus OS, Firepower Threat Defense and ASAs.
- Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers.
- Experience with quality of service prioritizing video and voice traffic.
- Experience with dynamic routing protocols OSFP, BGP.
- Experience with VOIP technologies and telephony systems.
- Experience with structure network cabling and wire management
- Experience with uninterrupted power supply electronics and IT infrastructure power requirements.
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
- Able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable and adaptable when necessary.
- Be available for upgrades, troubleshooting and projects that may occur after traditional office hours.
- Cisco Certified CCNA or CCNP certificate a plus.
