Position Summary The Biomedical Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation maintenance calibration safety and performance of all medical equipment in the hospital This role ensures regulatory compliance minimizes equipment downtime and supports clinical departments with timely technical assistance to maintain smooth hospital operations Key Responsibilities1 Equipment Management Maintenance Ensure planned preventive maintenance PPM and breakdown maintenance of all biomedical equipment Maintain an updated inventory of all medical devices across hospital departments Monitor equipment performance identify issues and implement corrective actions Coordinate with vendors for service AMC CMC calibration and warranty claims Ensure minimal downtime of critical equipment like ventilators monitors dialysis machines OT equipment etc 2 Regulatory Compliance Safety Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with NABH safety and statutory requirements Conduct periodic safety checks for electrical and mechanical risks Maintain documentation of calibration certificates maintenance logs and compliance audits 3 Procurement Technical Support Assist in technical evaluation of new equipment procurement and replacement planning Provide technical specifications and comparative analyses for recent medical devices Participate in vendor negotiations and assess the quality of biomedical suppliers Ensure timely installation and commissioning of new equipment 4 Team Leadership Coordination Lead the biomedical engineering team and allocate tasks effectively Train nursing OT ICU and other clinical staff on safe equipment usage Coordinate with departments such as ICU OT Emergency Radiology and Laboratory for equipment-related needs 5 Budgeting Reporting Prepare annual budgets for equipment maintenance AMC CMC and spare parts Review and verify vendor bills service reports and equipment performance data Generate monthly reports on equipment downtime maintenance schedules and audit findings Qualifications Skills Required Education Bachelor s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Electronics Master s Degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred optional Experience 5-10 years of experience in biomedical engineering preferably in a multi-specialty hospital Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role Technical Skills Strong knowledge of hospital medical equipment OT ICU Radiology Lab Dialysis etc Experience with PPM schedules calibration and ISO NABH compliance Ability to read equipment manuals circuit diagrams and technical specifications Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and vendor coordination Problem-solving critical thinking and documentation skills For Job Opportunities contact hr meridian-hospital com Job Type Full-time Pay 40 000 00 - 60 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Work Location In person
