Job Purpose and Impact The Associate Skilled Data Management Governance job supports the accuracy security and effective use of the organization s routine data Under close supervision this job assists with the development and implementation of policies and supports data quality to ensure compliance with regulations This job also collaborates with the design of data architecture supports data literacy and assists technology team and business units to support better decision making operational efficiency and strategic advantage for the organization Key Accountabilities STRATEGIC PLANNING Assists with the implementation and development of data management and governance strategies aligned with organizational goals DATA STORAGE INTEGRATION CONSUMPTION Maintains and supports implementation of standards for data storage data in transit and data use in both raw and insight formats DATA STANDARDS Documents basic data standards to ensure consistency and quality across all data domains and that policies are followed DATA QUALITY Collaborates with the team to ensure the accuracy consistency and reliability of data throughout its lifecycle by supporting data quality standards and metrics and implementing identified corrections while assisting data quality audits as needed to ensure data standards are met POLICY DEVELOPMENT GOVERNANCE Helps implement data governance policies that help maintain data integrity ensuring data practices align with organizational goals and frameworks that define how data is collected stored processed and shared DATA OPERATIONS STEWARDSHIP Performs operational improvements to reduce data quality defects improve efficiency and speed while maintaining compliance to regulations and policies DATA LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT Handles basic data from initiation to decommissioning through the lifecycle to ensure compliance with policies and regulations COMPLIANCE RISK MANAGEMENT Assists with the implementation of data governance risk and compliance processes and controls to support continuous improvement mitigate risk and align with applicable laws and regulations DATA LITERACY TRAINING Supports deployment of training programs to improve organizational literacy compliance to data standards and policies and increased understanding of accountability for data responsibilities TECHNOLOGY Assists with implementation and deployment of sustained solutions to data management and governance technologies to advance data practices for improved compliance efficiency and value Qualifications No minimum years of relevant experience required Typically reflects 2 years or more of relevant experience Experience with SAP MDG
