Job Posting Title Assistant Controller- TR Being an Assistant Controller team member you will be required to lend support to BUC Area Controllers or at times lead end-to-end statutory accounting and entity compliance for assigned Thomson Reuters legal entities ensuring SOX controls and reporting accuracy Oversee month-end close balance sheet P L reviews and coordinate with internal teams auditors and outsourced providers to meet all filing deadlines Support audits tax provisioning transfer pricing and entity restructurings M A delivering compliant operations within budget About the Role Responsible for maintaining accounts and records in various general and or cost accounting functions Responsible to ensure smooth audit completion and submission of statutory reporting Ensure accurate and timely monthly quarterly and year end close Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met Produce job costing information Ensure accurate and timely monthly quarterly and year end close Monthly Quarterly and annual review of all Balance Sheet and Cost accounts Ensure timely preparation submission of all statutory compliance reporting About You Chartered Accounting Professional fresher or a candidate with 1 or 2 years of accounting experience Stewardship and review of accounts of assigned entities for both group and local financial reporting compliance requirements Maintenance of key SOX controls and SOX evidentiary requirements Ensure appropriateness of controls for internal and external compliance Monthly balance sheet and P L reviews Monitor the month-end close process for assigned entities and ensure that critical financial processes and reconciliation obligations are met Support the team in management of relationships with departments of Global and Regional Tax Business Finance External Reporting Internal Audit Treasury Finance Operations Divisional Business Units and external statutory auditors and outsourced qualified service providers Support the BUC Area Controller in all operational compliance requirements for assigned entities including Oversight and review of the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts and tax returns by outsourced professional service providers Internal tax reporting Supporting tax audits transfer pricing reviews tax risk assessments and implementation of tax strategies Working with external statutory auditors to deliver the statutory audit of assigned entities on-time and Ensure all filing and reporting deadlines are met Support all monthly quarterly and year-end accounting and internal
