Location Mumbai India Type Full-time We are an heritage publishing house based in India seeking a skilled DTP Operator to support our production team with typesetting and reformatting tasks The role involves working on interiors of published titles particularly converting B-format books to other trim sizes while ensuring clean consistent layouts Key Responsibilities 1 Typeset book interiors using existing styles and design templates 2 Reformat B-format titles into recent trim sizes as per project requirements 3 Maintain consistency in typography spacing and layout across editions 4 Address layout issues such as overset text line breaks and hyphenation 5 Export press-ready PDF files based on printer specs 6 Coordinate with editorial and design teams to implement revisions Requirements 1 Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Photoshop Illustrator a bonus 2 Strong grasp of layout principles typography and print production 3 Experience with style-based formatting and long-form text 4 Ability to work independently and meet publishing deadlines Valuable to Have 1 Prior experience working with small or independent publishers 2 Understanding of common Indian and international trim sizes margins and bleed specs Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Benefits Paid sick time Provident Fund Education Bachelor s Preferred Experience DTP Operator 1 year Required Adobe InDesign 1 year Required Adobe Illustrator 1 year Preferred Formatting Files 1 year Preferred Language English Required Location Colaba Mumbai Maharashtra Preferred Work Location In person
