The Restaurant Accountant will oversee and manage the financial functions of the restaurant ensuring accurate and timely accounting financial reporting and adherence to company policies and regulations They will work closely with management to provide financial insights that support business decisions and operational improvements Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements P L balance sheet cash flow Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports Analyze financial data to identify trends issues and opportunities General Ledger Management Record daily financial transactions including revenue expenses and any other accounting entries Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies Prepare journal entries as needed Budgeting and Forecasting Assist in creating annual budgets and forecasts Monitor actual performance against the budget and provide variance analysis Recommend adjustments and corrective actions as needed Accounts Payable and Receivable Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable Ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of outstanding debts Maintain relationships with vendors and customers to ensure smooth financial operations Payroll Management Oversee payroll processing for all restaurant staff Ensure compliance with wage laws and tax regulations Maintain employee payroll records and prepare reports Cost Control and Profitability Analyze food and labor costs to ensure profitability Monitor and report on inventory levels including waste and spoilage Work with restaurant management to implement cost-saving initiatives and improve operational efficiency Tax Compliance Ensure all local state and federal taxes are paid on time Prepare and file tax returns including sales tax payroll tax and other required filings Assist with annual audits and financial reviews Internal Controls and Compliance Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies Assist in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and best practices Financial Analysis Conduct financial analysis and reporting to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement Provide financial insights to management for decision-making purposes Analyze sales trends customer behavior and other key performance indicators Other Duties Collaborate with restaurant management and ownership to improve financial performance Participate in financial planning and decision-making processes Assist with the implementation of new financial systems or software Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Advantages Cell phone reimbursement Food provided Education Bachelor s Preferred Experience Accounting 2 years Preferred Tally 2 years Preferred total work 1 year Preferred License Certification CA-Inter Preferred Work Location In person
