Role & responsibilities
- Designs and optimizes EHV switchyard and transmission line for all projects
- Prepares switchyard layout, SLD, EKD, cable schedule, cable trench layout, etc.
- Prepares technical specifications for Power transformers, PT, LA, BPI, Isolators, CRP, SAS, PLCC, FOTE system, Battery and aux system, SVG and harmonic filters
- Performs system calculations for earthing, DSLP, conductor sizing sag tension, short circuit force
- Reviews technical specification and coordinate for purchase requestions
- Understands grid code compliances and prepares required documents for reactive power study, power quality study, steady state and agile studies in PSS/E & PSCAD
- Reviews design documents and engineering drawings
- Collaborates with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely project delivery
- Conducts site visits to support system integration and troubleshooting
