Role summary A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping buildings equipment and systems in valuable working order by performing inspections preventive maintenance and repairs The role supports smooth operations safety and compliance with facility standards responsibilities Typical responsibility lines you can include in a JD are Inspect buildings equipment and systems to identify issues and schedule timely repairs Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical electrical plumbing and HVAC systems to Minimize downtime Troubleshoot and repair faults in machinery basic electrical circuits and building components doors windows fixtures Maintain inventory of tools spare parts and maintenance supplies and update maintenance records CMMS Follow safety procedures including lockout tagout and company policies and report hazards or incidents Required skills and qualificationsITI diploma or similar in mechanical electrical or related field plus 1-3 years of maintenance or facilities experience Technical skills in basic electrical work mechanical repair plumbing and HVAC support ability to read manuals drawings Soft skills problem-solving communication time management and willingness to work shifts or be on call Typical job details section
