Your Job We are part of the Power Signal Business Unit PSBU in Molex We offer innovative and integrated solutions for the design and development of high-power cable assemblies for automotive industrial and energy applications Our team delivers end-to-end support - from concept to product launch - ensuring solutions meet safety performance and compliance requirements We work in a global and collaborative environment engaging with diverse teams and customers worldwide Our Team As a Sr Engineer - High Power you will lead the design and development of high-power cable assemblies You will own projects end-to-end serving as the primary technical contact for customers and ensuring alignment of design requirements with internal and external stakeholders You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform customer needs into robust compliant and cost-effective designs What You Will Do Drive new product development for high-power cable assemblies through the Product Development Cycle as the process owner for assigned accounts Act as the first point of contact for customers on technical queries related to high-current and high-voltage assemblies participating in technical calls across global time zones Review customer requirements VOC including voltage current ratings thermal performance EMI EMC and environmental exposure to assess feasibility and create concept technical specifications Take connector considerations and limitations into account during cable assembly integration to ensure proper fit performance and reliability Prepare technical data for costing including conductor selection terminal choice shielding sealing solutions and insulation strategies Create and release 2D 3D drawings harness schematics and specifications maintain updates in Work Manager ECTR Initiate and track Engineering Change Notices ECN ECR as required Lead design reviews and participate in DFMEA PFMEA DFM and assembly feasibility reviews Who You Are Basic Qualifications Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Electronics Engineering 7 years of post-qualification experience in product development preferably in high-power high-voltage cable assemblies Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle including design development validation and qualification Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across different organizational levels Effective work planning and prioritization skills What Will Put You Ahead Hands-on experience with high-power high-voltage cable assembly design and validation electrical thermal mechanical environmental Deep knowledge of high-power interface technologies including crimping techniques ultrasonic welding shielding over molding sealing and insulation strategies Knowledge of HV safety standards creepage clearance EMI EMC requirements Experience in DFMEA PFMEA DFM and assembly process validation At Koch companies we are entrepreneurs This means we openly challenge the status quo find new ways to create value and get rewarded for our individual contributions Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate s knowledge skills abilities and geographic location If you have questions please speak to your recruiter about the flexibility and detail of our compensation philosophy Who We Are At Koch employees are empowered to do what they do best to make life better Learn how our business philosophy helps employees unleash their potential while creating value for themselves and the company Additionally everyone has individual work and personal needs We seek to enable the best work workplace that helps you and the business work together to produce superior results
