Chennai Tamil Nadu India Department Security Engineering Job posted on Oct 01 2025 Employment type Full Time EmployeeIBM Security Verify Directory AdministratorJob Title IBM Security Verify Directory Administrator Experience Level Mid to Senior Level 4-8 years of relevant experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IBM Security Verify Directory Administrator to join our team The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation configuration and maintenance of our IBM Security Verify Directory ISVD infrastructure This role involves critical tasks such as adding new servers to our existing replication topology migrating data and ensuring the seamless and proper synchronization of our directory services The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of ISVD architecture replication mechanisms and data management best practices on Linux platforms Key Responsibilities Installation Configuration Install and configure IBM Security Verify Directory on new Linux servers ensuring all prerequisites and best practices are followed This includes setting up the necessary file systems users and security configurations Replication Management Add new ISVD servers to the existing replication topology This involves configuring the new server as a replica and establishing secure communication channels with the master and other peer servers Data Migration Perform data migration from the master server to the newly added server Ensure data integrity and a smooth transition with minimal downtime Synchronization Assurance Monitor and verify that data synchronization is working correctly and efficiently across all servers in the replication topology Troubleshoot and resolve any replication conflicts or synchronization issues promptly Maintenance Support Provide ongoing maintenance and support for the ISVD setting including applying patches performing upgrades and ensuring high availability Documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the directory infrastructure including replication topology configuration settings and standard operating procedures Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the directory service including performance bottlenecks authentication failures and data corruption Collaboration Work closely with other IT teams including network engineers security analysts and application developers to support and enhance the directory services Ideal Years of Experience 4-8 years of professional experience in a Linux administration role with a strong focus on directory services and identity and access management IAM At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Security Verify Directory formerly IBM Tivoli Directory Server or IBM Security Directory Server Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience with the installation configuration and administration of IBM Security Verify Directory on Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL SUSE or other major Linux distributions Solid understanding of LDAP concepts schemas and best practices Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting ISVD replication topologies including master-replica and peer-to-peer configurations Experience with data migration techniques including ldifde idsldapadd idsldapmodify and other directory-specific tools Proficiency in shell scripting e g Bash for automation of administrative tasks Familiarity with security protocols such as SSL TLS and PKI for secure communication Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Skills Bonus Points Experience with other IBM Security products e g IBM Security Verify IBM Security Identity Manager Knowledge of virtualized environments e g VMware KVM Familiarity with cloud platforms e g AWS Azure GCP Relevant certifications e g IBM Certified Administrator - Security Verify Directory
