Job Summary The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting and financial activities for the travel business unit ensuring compliance with statutory requirements accuracy in financial reporting and timely reconciliation of vendor and client accounts The role requires strong expertise in travel industry accounting practices such as billing vendor settlements GST TDS compliance and foreign currency transactions Key Responsibilities Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable receivable and general ledger Handle client invoicing credit notes refunds and reconciliations specific to travel bookings airlines hotels tour packages etc Ensure accurate vendor account reconciliation with airlines hotels consolidators and travel partners Process and reconcile BSP Billing Settlement Plan and GDS Global Distribution System statements Monitor foreign exchange transactions and compliance with RBI FEMA guidelines Prepare monthly MIS reports financial statements and cash flow analysis Ensure compliance with GST TDS and other statutory filings related to travel transactions Coordinate with auditors banks and regulatory authorities Support budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities Supervise junior accountants and ensure accuracy of their work Key Skills Competencies Robust knowledge of travel industry accounting practices BSP GDS vendor settlements Proficiency in Tally ERP systems Travel accounting software Excellent knowledge of GST TDS and other Indian taxation laws Strong analytical reconciliation and reporting skills Ability to manage multiple stakeholders vendors clients auditors High level of integrity accuracy and attention to detail Qualifications Experience Bachelor s Master s degree in Commerce Accounting or Finance Professional certification CA Inter CMA MBA Finance preferred 5-8 years of experience in accounting Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Work Location In person
