1 About Vandana Global With more than 25 years of creating high value for our clients across diverse domains Vandana Global Limited VGL boldly claims to have empowered India through its four key differentiators State of Art Manufacturing technology Efficient Quality Management On Time Delivery and Commitment to Customer Satisfaction and Support The VGL situated in Raipur Chhattisgarh is an integrated steel plant having its own Stainless-Steel Plant Rolling Mill Sponge Iron Unit Ferro Alloy unit and Captive Power Plant Thermal Wind and Solar Job Title Welder - Furnace Spares Mechanical Department Ferro Alloys Mechanical Location Industrial Growth Centre Industrial Road Phase II Siltara Sondra Chhattisgarh 492001 Reports To Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor Department Head Employment Type Full-Time Job Summary The Welder - Furnace Spares Mechanical is responsible for executing welding and mechanical maintenance tasks related to the repair fabrication and installation of furnace components and associated mechanical spares in the Ferro Alloys department The role ensures equipment reliability operational efficiency and adherence to safety and quality standards Key Responsibilities Perform welding tasks arc MIG TIG gas cutting etc for repair and fabrication of furnace and mechanical components Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of furnace structures water-cooled panels and related mechanical systems Inspect identify and report wear or damage on furnace shells ducting electrode arms cooling systems and spares Assist in alignment fitting and assembly of mechanical parts during maintenance shutdowns or overhauls Maintain proper welding procedures and documentation for all repair and fabrication works Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams for integrated maintenance tasks Adhere to safety protocols during hot work and confined space operations Maintain inventory of critical spares and request procurement as needed Support modifications or upgrades to furnace equipment and auxiliary systems Maintain housekeeping and compliance in the mechanical workshop and furnace area Qualifications and Experience ITI Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Technology Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy fabrication welding in a ferro alloys or metallurgical plant environment Certified welder if applicable with knowledge of welding codes and standards Experience with furnaces Submerged Arc Furnace or Electric Arc Furnace preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical blueprints Skills and Competencies Proficiency in various welding techniques and mechanical tools Solid understanding of furnace operations and mechanical systems Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Commitment to safety and quality standards Team player with good communication skills Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 21 000 00 per month Schedule Rotational shift Supplemental Pay Overtime pay Yearly bonus Work Location In person
