JOB SUMMARY
The Onsite Storage Consultant will be part of NetApp’s 24x7 Skilled
Services team, supporting Managed Services customers. The role involves
providing Level 2/3 support for NetApp storage environments, resolving
incidents, managing change and service requests, driving problem management, and
executing storage infrastructure upgrades. This position requires strong
technical expertise in NetApp technologies, excellent customer-facing skills,
and the ability to build strong relationships while delivering high-quality
service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Level 2/3 support for storage operations including incident, change, and
service request management.
Plan and perform firmware and OS upgrades across customer environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in NetApp storage systems.
Manage backup and replication technologies such as SnapMirror and IntelliSnap.
Administer and optimise storage environments using tools like OnCommand Unified
Manager, Performance Manager, and Cloud Insight.
Collaborate with senior customer teams and internal sales teams to ensure smooth
service delivery.
Document incidents, changes, and problem resolutions following ITIL standards.
Design, build, deploy, and test infrastructure solutions and disaster recovery
setups.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and
operational processes.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Technical Skills & Experience
Hands-on expertise with NetApp Storage (CDOT & 7-Mode), including deployment,
troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Proficiency in Brocade SAN switches and SAN technologies.
Strong understanding of NetApp features: snapshots, failover, provisioning,
deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, IntelliSnap.
Experience with additional NetApp technologies (StorageGRID, E-Series,
SolidFire) is a plus.
Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
Solid understanding of infrastructure platforms such as FlexPod, Cisco UCS, I
