The Western Accelerator program is a great opportunity for high-growth startups to accelerate the growth of their businesses. Over the course of 13-14 weeks, ventures accepted into the program will receive hands-on mentorship and educational training from in-house experts and industrial partners. Our goal is to accelerate the life cycle of high-potential ventures and to compress a year’s worth of learning into a few months for these entrepreneurs.
Our program is a critical component of the cross-campus entrepreneurship ecosystem at Western University and is open to all Western students, faculty, and alumni with an expectation of a full-time commitment (Monday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., with occasional events on Thursdays).
All applying ventures must be registered businesses (sole proprietorship or incorporated business), and proof of business registration is required upon acceptance to the program.
In collaboration with Ivey's Centre for Building Sustainable Value, the Western Accelerator includes a “Regenerator” stream each fall with ventures dedicated to agri-food and sustainability initiatives that exemplify the World Economic Forum’s call to “regenerate the future.”
