Job Summary

The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across all MEP project sites. This includes developing and enforcing policies to promote a safe work environment, conducting risk assessments, training staff, and ensuring adherence to legal and organizational HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures, and standards at site level.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Risk Assessments for MEP activities.
Ensure that electrical work activities are carried out safely.
Monitor and ensure correct use of PPE by site workers and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; report findings and suggest corrective actions.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks,



and awareness sessions for staff and labor.
Coordinate emergency response drills and first aid arrangements.
Maintain all HSE documentation including daily safety reports, inspection logs, and permits.
Liaise with government authorities for HSE compliance.
Assist in preparing and submitting HSE reports to clients, consultants, and internal management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in MEP or construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of local HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
Familiarity with MEP systems and their associated safety requirements.
Solid communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

HSE-related certifications.
First Aid and Fire Fighting certification.
