About the Role

Amity University Jharkhand invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration while supporting the University's vision of excellence in teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics. Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions using creative teaching methods. Develop and update course content in accordance with NEP and UGC guidelines. Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Guide student research projects, dissertations, and internships. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, examinations, and evaluate student performance.



Mentor students for academic and career development. Apply for funded research projects, consultancy assignments, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Organize conferences, workshops, FDPs, seminars, and extension activities. Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, curriculum review, and departmental administration. Undertake any other academic responsibilities assigned by the University. Essential Qualifications
Master's Degree in Economics with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university. NET/SET/SLET qualification or Ph. D. in accordance with applicable UGC Regulations. Strong academic record throughout. Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills. Proficiency in ICT-enabled teaching and learning.
