Job Summary

Role position: Investment Finance supports the accounting, reporting, and analysis of the investment portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial outputs across GAAP and STAT frameworks.
Manages end-of-the-end processes including data aggregation, accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
Supports regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, RBC) and financial disclosures
Provides variance analysis and insights for leadership decision-making

The function operates in a time-sensitive, high-control workplace and is increasingly leveraging automation and AI to reduce manual effort, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency

Responsibilities
Perform ledger vs. sub-ledger reconciliations across investment accounts (securities, mortgages, derivatives, etc.)
Execute system-based reconciliations (e.g., ReconNet matching) to ensure completeness and accuracy of balance
Prepare daily / monthly / quarterly reconciliations and ensure timely sign-off
Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciling items and variances within defined timelines

Skills




Strong understanding of finance operations processes and control requirements
Advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated proficiency in AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power automate and cloud platforms to support scalable operations.
Analytical problem-solving and issue resolution
Process governance, compliance, and risk awareness
Stakeholder management and communication skills
Working knowledge of ERP platforms and reporting tools
Continuous improvement mindset with focus on standardization and efficiency
Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume operational setting
