Role & responsibilities :
Non recovery coke oven process control.
Over seeing Shift Wise Draft and Temperature monitoring of ovens & soles, recording the same.
Ensuring the oven readiness, communicate the shift In charge and recording the same.
Overseeing the process damper adjustment time to time for maintaining the required draft and get the oven readiness.
Coke oven Operation Shift Manpower management.
Inter department coordination with power plant, DCS engineer, etc.
Prompt communication upward & downward.
Preparation of shift report.
Reporting of abnormalities if any in shift.
Safety of man & machines.
Should have knowledge of carbonization process.
To maintain coke oven process parameters in the defined range.
Ensure readiness of ovens with in stipulated time.
Ensure PRI is maintained as defined.
Ensure timely regulation of primary, secondary and tertiary air.
Ensure required volume of the gas in transported to boiler with desired temp.
Ensure charging coal quality parameters are maintained.
Inspection of hot ovens & hot oven doors.
Various assignments to be carried out to improve coke quality, carbonization process and coke yield.
Ensure work place safety.
Ensure proper process control in order to maintain chimney emission with norm.
Ensure positive housekeeping and protected work workplace in coke oven battery area.
To train the process operators.
Coking coal & coke handling.
Coal & coke yard Management.
