Role & responsibilities
Positive knowledge of Progressive Dies and Press Tools.
Attend die breakdowns, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting during production.
Perform die trials and identify problems such as burr, mismatch, bending, cracking, and dimensional variation.
Positive knowledge of punch-die clearance, cutting clearance, alignment, and die fitting.
Read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T; requirements.
Carry out die assembly, dismantling, fitting, adjustment, and modification as required.
Perform preventive maintenance of dies to improve tool life and reduce production downtime.
Identify recurring die problems and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, etc.




Maintain proper die maintenance, repair, trial, and tool history records.
Support recent die development, modification, and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain 5S in the Tool Room and follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
