Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.E. Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities
Design SPM machines, Jigs, Fixtures, Tools and Special Purpose Equipment as per customer requirements.
Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for machine components and assemblies.
Develop concepts, layouts, and mechanisms for SPM and fixture applications.
Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOM, assembly drawings and detailing.
Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Electrical/PLC and Quality teams during project execution.
Ensure designs are manufacturable, accurate and cost-effective.
Review and modify designs based on production and customer requirements.
Support machine assembly, trial, testing and troubleshooting when required.
Maintain proper design documentation and revision control.
Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Knowledge of SPM machine design and automation concepts.
Solid understanding of Jigs, Fixtures, Tooling and mechanical mechanisms.
Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, fits and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Experience in SPM, Automation, Jigs & Fixtures or Tool Design.
Knowledge of pneumatic systems, sensors and basic machine automation will be an added advantage.
Experience in handling projects from concept to manufacturing and assembly.
