Key Responsibilities
Technical Bid Analysis & Quantification
Thoroughly review Tender Documents (RFQ/RFP), including drawings, technical specifications, and Scope of Work (SOW).
Perform accurate Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) for mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, and instrumentation works.
Conduct site visits to assess local conditions, logistics, and resource availability before bidding.
Cost Estimation & Budgeting
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering:
Direct Costs: Material, Labor, Equipment, and Sub-contractor charges.
Indirect Costs: Site mobilization, overheads, insurance, and taxes.
Develop detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Cost Break-down Structures (CBS).
Analyze vendor quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure market competitiveness.
Proposal Development
Prepare technical and commercial bid packages in alignment with client requirements.
Collaborate with the Procurement and Engineering teams to identify "Value Engineering" prospects to optimize costs.
Identify potential project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into the pricing model.Role & responsibilities
