THE ROLE As

Conference Delegate Sales Manager , you will be responsible for building and converting the delegate pipeline for The Retail Jeweller’s conferences and knowledge platforms.
You will identify the right prospects, connect with senior decision-makers, communicate the value of attending our conferences and convert conversations into confirmed delegates.
This is a

target-driven, hands-on B2B sales role

with significant interaction with the jewellery industry's leading companies and decision-makers.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective conference delegates
• Identify and reach out to

jewellery retailers, Founders, Owners, CEOs, CXOs and senior management
• Drive delegate sales through

outbound calls, WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn and other digital channels
• Understand each prospect's business profile and communicate the relevance and value of our conferences
• Follow up systematically and convert prospects into paid delegates
• Build relationships with senior industry professionals and create repeat participation across events
• Maintain accurate lead, prospect and conversion data in CRM/MIS systems
• Work closely with the

Events, Marketing, Editorial and Sales teams

to align campaigns and delegate acquisition strategies
• Track daily and weekly sales performance against targets
• Share market feedback, objections, prospect insights and competitive intelligence with the management team
• Develop new approaches to increase delegate acquisition, conversion and revenue
• Support the event team in ensuring a high-quality delegate mix at every conference

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR •

3–7 years of experience

in B2B sales, inside sales, telesales, conference sales, delegate sales, media sales, events or related industries
• Proven ability to

prospect, pitch, follow up and close




• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence in speaking with

Founders, Owners, CEOs, CXOs and senior business professionals
• Robust negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable with

high-volume outbound calling and structured follow-ups
• Strong understanding of sales pipelines, CRM/MIS and conversion metrics
• Ability to

work independently and deliver against aggressive targets
• Energetic, persistent and highly organised
• Experience in

B2B media, events, conferences or the jewellery industry

will be an advantage
• Knowledge of multiple languages in addition to English will be an advantage
