Role & responsibilities

- Supervise daily housekeeping operations in wards, OPD, ICU, OT, corridors, and public areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ensure cleaning schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Manage housekeeping staff including supervisors, attendants, and cleaners; prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance.
- Provide training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of patient areas and critical zones; address cleanliness-related complaints promptly.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and compliance with infection control guidelines.
- Monitor stock of housekeeping materials and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Maintenance, and Administration to ensure readiness of patient rooms.




- Maintain housekeeping records and prepare reports; support internal and external audits such as NABH inspections.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Housekeeping or related field.

- Additional certification in Hospital Housekeeping or Infection Control will be an advantage.

Experience

- 5 - 8 years of experience in housekeeping operations.

- 2 - 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
