Demonstrable hands-on commercial experience with AnyLogic; able to develop, adapt, integrate, and troubleshoot simulation models in AnyLogic (written in Java)

Java development experience is highly desirable, including integration-oriented or production-quality software engineering.

Experience in manufacturing, process, plant, logistics, supply-chain, or other operational simulation environments.

Practical understanding of optimisation, operations research, simulation-based decision support, digital twins, or related analytical methods.

Experience integrating software with databases, APIs, structured data inputs/outputs, and production data environments.

Ability to communicate technical results clearly in terms of operational decisions, constraints, and measurable outcomes.

Desirable experience:

Python, SQL, REST APIs, cloud platforms, data engineering, parallel processing, or dashboard/workflow integration.

Bayesian optimisation, genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimisation, CMA-ES, tabu search,



or multi-objective optimisation.

Experience in discrete-event simulation; exposure to agent-based modelling is highly valuable

Experience designing experiments for expensive or long-running simulations, including replication, performance optimisation, and result caching.

Experience leading a specialist workstream, mentoring colleagues, or working directly with industrial stakeholders.

Live connection: production AnyLogic and database integration; framework connected to real plant scenarios.

Validation: confirmed recommendations on the live model and quantified operational benefit.

Expansion: additional plants and decision problems, including scheduling, energy, and logistics.

Operationalisation and support: dashboards, recurring studies, planning-workflow integration, maintenance, and managed service.
