About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka to build scalable, high-performance backend solutions for enterprise eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing backend services that power customer-facing applications and high-volume transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices
Develop services for Product Catalog, PLP, PDP, Cart, Checkout, Pricing, Inventory, and Order Management
Implement event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka
Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions
Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system performance

Required Skills

8+ years of experience in Java Backend Development
Strong expertise in Java (11/17), Spring Boot,



and Microservices
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms
Robust knowledge of REST APIs, Distributed Systems, and SQL/NoSQL Databases
Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Mandatory eCommerce Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

- Product Listing Page (PLP)
- Product Detail Page (PDP)
- Shopping Cart
- Checkout
- Product Catalog
- Pricing & Promotions
- Inventory Management
- Order Management

Preferred Skills

AWS, Azure, or GCP Cloud Platforms
