ROLE: Safety Officer (Construction)

LOCATION: Odisha (Various Sites)

JOB OVERVIEW

Required a talented candidate with good communicational skill for managing and ensuring Environmental, Health & Safety practices at construction projects responsible for working closely with Vendors, Customers, consultants, and other team members of construction project etc.

REQUIREMENTS

- Advance Diploma / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety Courses approved by ACTVT/RLI.
- Must Be Graduate in any Stream, Diploma / Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering will be given preference.
- Work experience in the PEB / Construction company as a Safety officer, EHS Officer, or a similar role 3 Years Minimum
- Proficiency to Read EHS Related Documents like SWMS, JSA, HIRA etc.
- Knowledge of ISO:450001 Documentation.
- Knowledge on Accident Incident Investigation Reports etc.
- Proficiency to Work with MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Team, Outlook) etc.
- Ability to handle a project independently of 100+ Manpower and multiple Vendors.
- Ability to work independently or work in a team with Worker Management Skills.
- Positive Verbal & Written Communication Skill English & Hindi.
- Ability to work In harsh condition of steel plant / Coal handling plant / power plant etc.
- Ability to Climb up 50 60 M height building on regular basis for roof inspection/Audits.

RESPONSOBILITY





Adhering to EHS Standards.

- Determining SOP, SWMS, JSA & HIRA etc. for activities related to Construction site / project.
- Identifying the Risks and Hazards Related to various activities related to construction and sites.

Identifying the Resources like PPEs, Equipment & tools etc. required for project to complete safely.

Supervising Construction Site for commencing the activities with Environment, Health & Safety norms.

- Conducting Regular Site Audit for Safety points and circulate Observations.
- Managing Daily activities at site related to EHS.
- Carry out the Various Training and Developments like Induction trainings, Toolbox Talks, Mass Meetings, Job specific training etc.
- Managing appointed Vendors, Sub-contractors, workers at site.
- Working Collaboration with Client, Consultant, End User Engineer / Architect, or other stakeholders of Project.
- Maintaining Site Inventory Safety Gears and PPEs and Maintain the Logbooks and registers.
- Maintaining EHS Documentations needed at Construction sites.
- Providing Recommendation on improving safety culture.
- Coming up with Technical Solution for problems arising at site.
- Creating and Providing Site Reports, EHS Statistics, MIS etc.
- Presenting Weekly / Monthly Reports to Project Managers and HO - EHS.
