We are looking for a senior Finance Controller to lead the Finance & Accounting function for a large multinational company's GCC in India. The role will work closely with global stakeholders and outsourced service providers and will play a key role in supporting the GCC's growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Finance & Accounting function and drive financial performance of the GCC.
- Review financial trends, variances and business performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide strategic financial leadership for business initiatives and expansion plans.
- Manage project finance requirements in line with business growth.
- Ensure compliance with finance and accounting regulations, including Direct & Indirect Taxes.
- Manage audits and group-level compliance requirements.
- Oversee cash flow, banking operations, forex and treasury activities.
- Prepare and provide financial reporting to management and global stakeholders.
- Partner with global counterparts and GCC leadership on planning, service delivery and key business initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance policies, processes, controls and operating practices.
- Establish and monitor operating metrics and provide visibility on India operations.
- Identify and manage financial and operational risks proactively.
- Support GCC leadership on initiatives beyond the Finance function.
- Lead, develop and retain a high-performing Finance team.
- Set performance objectives, manage performance and drive employee engagement and talent development.
Candidate Profile
- 18+ years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in senior management roles.
- CA from a reputed institution.
- Strong experience in multinational / global business environments; GCC/GIC or captive experience preferred.
- Good exposure to US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.
- Strong understanding of SOX, IFRS and Indian Tax Laws.
- Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
- Exposure to Technology and/or Back-office Operations environments preferred.
- Experience working across multiple geographies and offshore delivery models.
- Robust understanding of the IT/BPO/GCC industry.
- Proven experience in process improvement, quality frameworks and operational excellence.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to work across multicultural teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop and retain high-performing teams.
- Strong business orientation with the ability to influence business outcomes.
